Partions can help reduce noise and distraction

Offices can be very distracting places to work, but office partitions can go a long way in making a large open area much more productive and distraction free.  Office cubicles have gotten a bad wrap in the last couple of years, we may need to be reminded that the alternative is not a closed office but starring at your gum smacking neighbor without any type of divider.

Privacy is an important part of productivity and will lead to companies being much more profitable in the long run. Fostering a good work environment is one thing that a company can do to really boost earnings and develop good morale.

Office partitions allow managers to utilize the best of both worlds when it comes to being able to take advantage of a team environment and when the time comes to get to work and focus. Some cubicles can be easily rearranged to put teams together and allow people to work together on different projects.

Set up your office right and it doesn't have to feel like this

Promoting communication through structure

Isolating employes in small stuffy offices leads to a break down of communication and giving them too much face time will either lead to a halt in production or animosity between employes.  Either way we want to avoid the outcomes.

Many offices have some sort of a privacy policy regarding their employes to make sure that workers have ample time to take care of personal matters while they are at work.  Because lets be honest, things do not always wait until after work hours.  Some things need to be taken care of on the spot and having some privacy can be very appreciated.

Privacy also leads people to be more relaxed which promotes a better overall environment and a more positive morale.  And anyone who has seen what a bad morale can do to a company will understand why managers put so much effort into keeping their employes happy.

Office partitions also serve an important safety function.  They are actually fire breaks, and will slow the spread of a fire through a building.  Not only this but open concept offices are actually much more able to communicate and evacuate in the event of a serious incident.  So, while you may feel like your cube is killing you it could be much worse.

Installing cubicles can be very expensive but it also has the potential to take your business to the next level by allowing for more productivity.  And when you compare the cost for a major build out office partitions will be much cheaper, and if you every decide to expand you can just take them with you.

I think people, irregardless of where they are, need a space they can call their own. If for no other reason then to have little personal touches like pictures, etc.

Partitions may be expensive but they are a lot cheaper then building offices.
