The days of lasers being reserved for the Jetsons are over. You can currently get on eBay and purchase a laser hair removal system, no laser hair removal education required. Is this frightening to professionals who make their living giving laser hair removal treatment? You bet, they know better than anyone the possible dangers of burns or over treatment. They are also aware that this isn’t something that can or should be done by anyone with a credit card and a computer.

There are accredited courses in laser hair removal and there is a reason that a doctor is required to oversee these procedures.

Numerous classes are being offered through a variety of certification agencies all across the country. They are intense and they teach students the important aspects of this promising career.

Settle Down For Some Learning

Smooth and Silky

Ok, I get it you have to get a certificate, but what do you really learn?

Believe it or not the science of hair removal is fairly complex. Hair has spent a long time getting the way it has and in a fairly short period of time we have decided that it is a mere annoyance.

The classes are made up mostly of physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and entrepreneurs. Most of whom have prior knowledge of and some interest in the field of laser hair removal.

The classes focus around the biology of hair growth. How growing cycles effect hair removal and vise versa. The different aspects of peoples makeups and how lasers can differently effect different people. You go into depth about different types of lasers and which fits each particular situation. You need to know how lasers effect skin tissue and about any long term harm that they can cause. They spend plenty of time on safety issues that range from fire hazards, to cancer, to unruly clients.

There are additional classes that can be taken on the business and marketing aspects of a hair laser removal business. Not all prospective students need to take this portion of the schooling. Many students are there simply to get the training required to get into this new promising field.

After completing an accredited program and finding a job you will most certainly undergo company specific training that will teach you about the types of lasers they use and how to handle them. As well as company procedures and policies. This is a serious business, it may be about vanity to some extent but people are willing to spend big bucks and often take a gamble on new technology.

Different schools offer different length programs. They start on the short end of 100 hours for assistant technicians and go up to close to 1000 hours of training for positions of more responsibility and authority. Many courses are offered on a semi flexible basis with some self paced work. There are however numerous hands on lab type classes. Some things cannot be learned out of a book and this is one of those things.

For anyone considering laser hair removal school I think it is great idea that will lead to a successful career with high demand.
